Twice September comeback and GFriend's 'Baton Relay'..The Most Awaited Showdown
Twice is now preparing for their upcoming comeback this September.
If you put these two girlgroups together they would appear as 'twin-towers of rookie girlgroups' as GFriend had their comeback this July. Comparing the span of their comebacks it would appear that they have about two to three months difference on their comeback periods. As a result, they are creating a phenomenon called 'baton relay' as they give the "Trending Girl Group" title back and forth whenever each of them has their own comebacks.
From the beginning of these two groups' debut, both of them are already getting much attention and popularity (in their own ways) which leads to the people wondering what would happen if they release song on or almost at the same time. However, the time of their comebacks are very much different from each other as a result this showdown is still far from the reach of the many spectators. However these two teams seems to be avoiding to clash to each other by having different comeback periods as if they are playing 'hide-and-seek' to each other.

Twice made their debut October last year. During that time, GFriend has already released their second mini-album (Flower Bud) on July and ended their promotions on September of the same year. And Twice became the dominant one almost until the end of the second half of 2015. On the other hand, GFriend made their comeback this year's January with their third mini-album (Snowflake). And they remain dominant on the first quarter of the year 2016. Following this Twice made their first comeback and the release of their second album (Page Two). Just like what happened last year, Twice ended their promotions as July approaches then GFriend made their third comeback and the release of their very first album (LOL). Then again, Twice was announced to be making their comeback this incoming September. Just like this, it appears that these two teams are 'chasing each other's tails', which seems to have continued for almost a year already.
As for now, it seems like this showdown is still far from becoming a reality. But if by any chance Twice aimed their comeback on August, their might be an "interesting event" that everyone would be interested watch. Who knows this might happen.
