Recently, GFriend gets the spotlight on the latest column posted by US Billboard. With the title "GFRIEND Gets Funky With New Single 'Fingertip'", Billboard talked about how GFriend is gaining international recognition during this comeback evaluating how they become the most eye-catching girl group in K-pop today while focusing on the dramatic change in the group's image and growth.
The column stated "Korea’s synth-pop darlings GFRIEND have made waves since their debut in 2015, but their latest single “Fingertip” switches things up a bit with a funkier styling." Emphasizing the new concept.
"The funk-driven song offers up a more powerful, energetic sound than their earlier hits, propelled by electric guitar and bass, while still incorporating typical GFRIEND-style synths. "Fingertip" emphasizes the group’s powerful vocals, moving away from the more youthful, saccharine sound of past singles. And, of course, the chorus is filled with ample catchy phrases to ensure the addictive melody."
