Girl group GFriend proved why they are called "GodFriend" on their recent variety show guesting.
March 8, GFriend appeared as guest on Weekly Idol for their comeback with fourth mini-album "The Awakening".
Futhermore, appearing with more mature image, GFriend confessed that they have finally received settlement two years after their debut. Sowon, Eunha and SinB mentioned that they bought new shoes after receiving their payment. On the other hand, Yerin simply went to a convenience store to buy stuffs with her money.
Also, now that they are all at adult age, they were asked if they will be changing into a more mature concept from now on. They answered "Yes". Following this, they were asked to do "sexy dances". Instead of being sexy they appeared cute leading to heavy laughter in the studio.
They also showed off their perfect 2x speed dance of Fingertip for the first time in Weekly Idol. After a breathtaking performance, they asked for water while resting on their knees grasping for air.

Following this, they moved to the Random Play Dance segment. Here, they experienced mental breakdown as they randomly danced to their knife-like choreography of their previous hit-songs. They were also asked to do their "interval training" (T/N: The exercise they do on their training. They also did this on GFriend's One Fine Day Episode 3) whenever they make mistakes. They received Korean Style Raw Beef (Yukhwoe), sushi and smoothies after finally succeeding the challenge.
After the Random Play Dance, one ate Korean Beef after successful fulfilling a challenge on "Hot Grill Idol (Bulpan Wi-eh Idol) Corner. SinB went for the first challenge by reminiscing her debut days as "Shawing" in the children's show "Larva and Friends".
Eunha made them all laugh as she attempt a sexy version of Tondari Tororong but ends up looking cute. Umji caused a burst of laughter as she embarrassed herself with her funny performance.
During "Choreography Genius Selection Battle", HeungYerin (Energetic Yerin) shows off her beagle energy. As for Sowon, she fell into mental breakdown during the segment. Contrary to this, Yuju shows off her "GodYuju" ability as she creates her own choreography making everyone laugh.
At the end of the program, instead of saying "It was fun" as their ending message, member Yuju said "It was delicious" making everyone laughing out loud.
