Girl group GFriend released their very first repackage album in their third year. They could have released a repackage earlier but after a thorough thinking they finally did. They prepared 'Love Whisper' and 'Summer Rain' with the desire to fully express their heart to the public listeners.
After the first comeback stage performance for album 'Rainbow' GFriend leader Sowon stated, "This is the first time we came back for a very short time. We're glad that we will have more chances to meet our fans." Yuju also stated, "We prepared tightly for 'Love Whisper' activities. We may be more busy but I was satisfied with the results."
The title song 'Summer Rain' also has its own share of getting first place in the music charts. The song rose up to the top of iTunes Overall Singles at various countries like Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Brunei. Moreover, the album 'Rainbow' rose as #1 in iTunes Overall Album Chart at Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan and Dominican Republic.
Member Umji acknowledge the positive results, "We only have four weeks promoting 'Love Whisper' and immediately came back with 'Summer Rain'. And with the continuous love and show of interest to our songs, we want to thank you." Yuju asked, "Why did we come back at autumn? There are people who said that we chose the wrong season. We didn't. You'll realize it if you listen to the song. The lyrics which reminisce the past fits perfectly for the season."
The interview of course went to GFriend's signature 'power-innocent' emphasizing the innocent emotions in the lyrics more than they did before. "If you call [Love Whisper] 'Power-up Innocent' then we call [Summer Rain] 'Power Innocent-up'," Yuju stated leading to everyone laughing.*
They maybe have more to think for this comeback but GFriend talked about their larger living quarters. As soon the topic was introduced they all chorused "It's really good!" They explained, "We now have three toilets. Also the living room looks great. Our CEO bought us a new TV. We cannot use much the living room in our previous dorm. We have many luggage and there was no sofa so we just get the chairs from the dining area just to watch TV."
Sowon stated, "I used to stay inside my room before but now I stay most of the time in the living room. The sofa is also very wide. The TV is bigger. We have more time to spend bonding inside the house." Umji said, "Yerin and I now share a room. Unnie-line and middle-line also became roommates like this." She also added that they decided this using Rock-Paper-Scissors. Sowon also shared, "Our room has a sliding door. We can open it to greet each other or sometimes we just leave it open."
The group also pointed out their desire for a solo concert. Umji stated, "I wish to have a solo concert after a short while. There is no confirmation yet we still talk to each about what we want to do if we ever have one." The other members also added that they watch other artists' concerts then they brainstorm on what things they want to do in their dream solo concert.
Having many hit songs like Glass Bead, Me Gustas Tu, Rough, Navillera and Fingertip, including their current songs, we are waiting for these girls' dreams to come true and finally have their first solo concert.
